About MEL tribe

My formal work experience, accumulated over the course of more than 20 years working with donors and government agencies as well as the private sector, includes positions such as Coastal Agronomist, Agribusiness Advisor, M&E Officer, Ergonomic and “On-Farm” Research Supervisor, District Director of Agriculture, Area Development Program Manager, and Provincial Head of Rural Extension.

Out of the over 20 years of experience working in the social development industry, I devoted eight years as a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officer. In this role, I developed several project LogFrames and their respective indicator tracking table and tied together all the project components to contribute to the overall project objectives. I also facilitated strategic project reviews to incorporate adaptations that could impact communities and Smallholder farmers’ lives.

managment monitoring and evaluation

Working closely with external evaluators, I supported the conduction of impact assessments and prepared case studies on both successful and unsuccessful interventions to analyze what happened, what was achieved, and what lessons could be drawn from those experiences.

I developed the capacity of some stakeholders and projects team to play an effective role in the project’s Monitoring, and Result Measurement (MRM) processes that included data collection, data analyses, drafting reports, and providing feedback to primary and secondary beneficiaries. I constantly supported program intervention managers to produce progress reports to inform donors and other stakeholders in the same duties.

While managing projects and programs I worked with partners (agricultural value-chain actors) to ensure a farmer-driven, bottom-up, participatory process and assisted the smallholder farmers on the identification of profitable agricultural sector opportunities and local agri-business service providers.

With these jobs, I’ve gained a thorough grasp of project cycle management in international humanitarian initiatives and a thorough awareness of how to maximize the synergy between stakeholders. Thus, I decided to build this website to share my experiences and assist others, particularly managers, get the most out of their team and assure positive community transformation.

Coordinate the identification, development, and implementation of projects that led to socio-economic development through coaching and mentoring the project team to develop awareness creation activities for community behavior change and the adoption of improved agricultural technology.
